TFI Local Link Laois Offaly co-ordinate rural bus transport services across Laois and Offaly. We have 67 services with approximately 400 trips a week currently in operation. These include Regular Rural Services (RRS) and Door-to-Door Services (DRT’s).
Regular Rural Services operate to a set timetable multiple times a day, 7 days a week and do not require booking.
Door to Door services, also known as Demand Responsive Travel (DRTs), have a start and end time but the route may vary according to passenger bookings. Many of these services pick passengers up from their homes if they are not able to get to the designated stop, offering a door-to-door service. These services generally operate one or two days a week and prebooking is required to ensure a seat.
It is the goal of TFI Local Link Laois Offaly to enhance connectivity in rural towns to give back independence to our rural communities, by providing access to nearby towns for social, education and employment opportunities helping to break down the social exclusion and isolation experienced in our rural towns and villages.
