New 6 day week transport service Route 983 launched
Local Link Sligo Leitrim Roscommon are delighted to announce the introduction of a new daily scheduled service from Kinlough to Bundoran and Ballyshannon with daily connections from the rural area surrounding Glenade, Benwiskin and Lough Melvin.
This new service operates 7 times a day Monday to Saturday on 2 different routes running on alternate days, and will also allow passengers to connect with Expressway services to Galway, Dublin and Sligo.
In welcoming this new service, the National Transport Authority’s Rural Transport Programme Manager, Margaret Malone added that ” it is another important step in providing a quality public transport service in rural Ireland that responds first and foremost to local needs. Everybody involved in the planning and development of this new service appreciates the hugely important role that rural transport plays in the lives of so many people on a daily basis. On behalf of the Rural Transport Programme, we look forward to supporting other communities nationally to develop similar rural transport services in 2017.”
