Wear Red Day against Racism – Fri 24 Nov

This Friday 24th November sees us host our second Wear Red Day against Racism.  We are delighted that the numbers of schools and other organisations participating has increased from 35 groups last year to 55 groups this year.

The day will see participants Wear Red for the day and collect funds for Show Racism the Red Card to help us continue our work and also to develop new education resources.

As well as wearing red and collecting funds, participants will be distributing stickers, doing their own photocalls, hosting anti-racism tournaments, selling red cakes and doing different activities to make it an occasion to remember.

Racist abuse of Cyrus Christie

We are shocked at the news that Ireland player Cyrus Christie has been subject to a string of racially abusive tweets in the aftermath of the Ireland V Denmark game.  We are in the process of preparing a statement in response.  Keep up to date with www.theredcard.ie/news
